Within the scope of the European Union Solidarity Project titled \u201cPost-Migration Social Cohesion and Solidarity\u201d<\/em>, supported by the Turkish National Agency, local and migrant youth came together in the third phase of the project. The day proved to be highly productive as one of the most significant issues in the social cohesion process\u2014\u201cCommon Misconceptions\u201d<\/em>\u2014was brought to the table and opened for discussion.<\/span><\/p>

The day began with a conversation and brainstorming session guided by specially prepared questions prior to the main program. This created an opportunity for participants to observe each other\u2019s life experiences and strengthened the bonds within the group.<\/span><\/p>

In the interactive session that followed, participants created a mind map using preliminary questions. This supported mutual learning and enabled them to view common misconceptions from different perspectives. Afterwards, a presentation on \u201cCommon Misconceptions\u201d<\/em> was delivered by project team member Amr Alhasan. During the presentation, both local and migrant youth contributed by drawing on their personal life experiences, making the session both participatory and inclusive.<\/span><\/p>

By the end of the presentation, participants who realized the misconceptions they had previously believed shared with one another what those misconceptions were and what had changed after the session. This revealed that much of the unverified information they had assumed to be true was, in fact, merely speculation.<\/span><\/p>

The short film that had won first place in the previous film-making activity of the project was re-watched with all participants. As the day came to a close, the workshop concluded with a feedback activity\u2014a crucial component of project processes\u2014followed by a group photo and interviews regarding the project.
